Like to eat Hong Kong Dim Sum..?? This is a nice place to visit if u like Hong Kong Dim Sum.
It's Kong Mah Restaurant (港马点心）.

This restaurant is located in Kampung Baru Sungai Buloh. Its quite some distance from Kuala Lumpur . However , if you own a Garmin GPS , the device can lead you here. The map of the location is HERE.
The village is actually a chinese village. There are many factory here and you wont believe that there are such a nice restaurant inside this factory area.

Lets go for the overall picture about the Dim Sum here. This is only part of the Dim Sum they provide. We are not able to order all the Dim Sum as only 4 of my friends went there.

Once you sit down around the table, trays of Dim Sum will keep coming.The waiters will just put the item on your table when you point to it.

Lets have a view on the Dim Sum here. I'm not able to recall all the name of the Dim Sum here too bad.

This is so nice. Full of prawn and it's so fresh.

Chicken Hot Pot Restaurant originated from Shang Hai , China, it was amust for those who visit Shang Hai.But, not anymore now since it has more than 500 outlets in Hong Kong , China and Malaysia.

What is special about the hot pot here ? This Hot Pot comes with healthy, balance kampung chicken with celery,carrot, chinese parsely and of course the hot and spicy soup.

There are 4 special types of hot pot in this shop – Chicken Hot Pot , Dinosour Rib /Pork Rib Hot Pot , Flaming Fish Soup and Beef Hot Pot. However , we only test 2 of it here this time.

Foh San Dim Sum [富山茶樓] (Ipoh)

If you are in Ipoh and wish to have some famous Dim Sum , Foh San Dim Sum (富山茶樓) is one of the place you can go. It was located HERE.

Foh San Dim Sum is always full of crowd and the building include 3 floors. Ground floor and 1st floor is for the normal customer and 2nd floor is for VIP function. This place normally packed with people no matter weekdays or weekends. There are hardly any available seats. If you want to dine here, you will need to stand next to the table to "book" it.

How about the food there?To be honest , i personally feel that the food there is normal.Not the best Dim Sum that i tried before. The good things about here is the environment and the building. The service here is another thing not my liking.

Look at the Tau Fu Fah and Soya Bean Drink , how can i avoid myself to try this.?Its impossible.I believe that you will never regret once you try this.
I am luckily to be there on time as i am able to view how they move the Tau Fu Fah into the shop.They are still using the traditional way to move the Tau Fu Fah.

Thats the reason why they wan to hire guy worker.

Wan't to try some East Malaysian food..??Here is 1 of the place that you can pay a visit to try the Food.Rasa Timur Restaurant . This restaurant is located at Chulan Square , Kuala Lumpur . Near Pavilion.

The environment is quite nice here.Quite a relax place for havinng meals. Lets have a look on the food provided there.

Nasi Lemak

I think this is quite common all around Malaysia.

Nasi Minyak

Nasi minyak is quite common too. Not really a original East Malaysia food.

Nasi Kari Ayam

This is also quite common. Buts this really taste nice here.

Nasi Dagang

According to 1 of my friends , this Nasi Dagang is the 1 come from Terengganu. Those i use to eat in Kelantan since i am small is a little bit different. The rice of Nasi Dagang from Kelantan is something red in colours and serve with some "inti". And for Nasi Dagang , it is best serve with fish curry.

Nasi Kerabu

This is something different. An original Kelantan's food. The rice was in blue colour and serve with some uncook vegetable , fish , dried coconut , budu (fish sause) , salted egg and Keropok. Those in Kelantan normally serve with "solok" too.
The Blue colour rise is made from a kind of flower, can't recall whats the name of the flower here. And there is actually 2 type of Nasi Kerabu in Kelantan, Malay Nasi Kerabu and Siam/Chinese Nasi Kerabu. The photo above is the Malay Nasi Kerabu and for Siam/Chinese Nasi Kerabu, we used to call it "Cow Jump" (sound like this from thai name, not really know the actual name) which the rice is green in colour.

This is also different from Laksa from Kelantan. In Kelantan , we got Laksa and Laksam. And the soup is white in colour which made from fish.

Overall , i would say it's quite nice to have meals here. The price range is somewhere around RM 10 to RM 13 .

Been Travel to Lumut past few month and pass by Telun Intan to try this famous food. It was quite special and its totally different from what we can see in KL or other places.The one i try is 三少爷猪肠粉.There is another stall which is famous in Chee Cheong Fun too but i didn't manage to try that..

Assassin Bugs

Saw assassin bugs in Hutan Lipur Lentang, Port Dickson before. Assassin bugs (Castolus sp.) are killer insects that eat other bugs. They use the long rostrum to inject a lethal saliva that liquefies the insides of the prey, which are then sucked out. Sometimes, when other food isn't available, assassin bugs even eat each other. The legs of some of these bugs are covered in tiny hairs that serve to make them sticky to hold onto their prey while they feed. The saliva is commonly effective at killing substantially larger prey than the bug itself. As nymphs, some species will cover and camouflage themselves with debris, or the remains of dead prey insects. Some species have been known to feed on cockroaches or bedbugs (in the case of the masked hunter) and are regarded in many locations as beneficial. Some people breed them as pets and for insect control.

Went to Awana Genting last few weeks for a macro outing and the day was so lucky that day for me to found new species that i never saw.It's Asian Flower Mantis (Creobroter sp.).It was camouflaged to the environment when i saw them. They will be green in colour when they on the green leaf and will be brown colour on the brown leaf.

It's located at the road side just beside Bulatan Kg. Pandan , the way towards Kg. Pandan.

Segari Turtle Hatchery

This is one of the place i visit when i am on my trip to Lumut.Its a nice place to visit and know more about turtle here.Its was actually located at Pasir Panjang beach.

The Pasir Panjang beach here used to be the favorite place for sea turtles to come and lay their eggs before going back to the sea. However, due to human intervention and pollution, there are not many occasion where one can see this happening.

In the effort to ensure the survival of these turtles, the government has taken the initiative to breed the green sea turtle here and released them to the sea. According to some source , turtles that visit this beach are the Green Turtle (Chelania mydas) and Olive Ridley (Epidochelys olivaecea). They land at any time during the year, but are said to be seen more during January to July. From the statistic , we actually can see the turtle which come visit here is decreasing from year to year.

The Segari Turtle Hatchery is actually devide onto two part.One of it is the visiting area where we can walk around to visit the turtle. Another area is the hatching area where we are not allowed to go in.

Thai Fish Bao from Pantai Remis , Lumut

Try this food when i am on my trip to Lumut. It is actually came from Thailand and brought here by the grandma of Aunty Eng (英姨 aka 吉麟姨）.

It was actually looks like Otak-otak and the taste also almost like Otak-otak. But the "daun sireh" used in this Fish Bao is something special here.

If you look at the outlook , all the wrapping ingredient is made from the nature stuff such as Banana Leaf and the coconut leaf stick (lidi)

Is it really looks like Otak-otak.? :-)
In the photo above , the dark green stuff below the "otak-otak" is actually "daun sireh".

Middle look

If you break the Fish Bao into 2 , you will see in the middle of the Fish Bao is actually a piece of fresh fish. Some said that this actually looks like Penang's Otak-otak but i am noto sure about that.

In the above photo , there are the ingredient to make Fish Bao such as ginger , "daun sireh" , etc.. And from the traditional research about these ingredient , it's actually good for our health to prevent cancer.I am not sure about this statement and this is what Aunty Eng told me.

Kow Po Coffee Shop, Bentong

When you are in Bentong and asking what is famous there, i think most of the people will introduce the same shop. Kow Po Coffee Shop. What is so special there.? Lets explore this.

The things that so special here is the home made ice cream. Believe it or not, Kow Po Coffee Shop said to be have one of the best ice-creams and ice kacang in town.

The signature dessert here is the ABC Ice Kacang Kow Po Special which show in the photo above. Beside that , they also have Jumbo X-tra where customer can choose the ice creams from a variety of flavours, such as durian, pandan, chocolate, banana and peanut, to name a few. The Cendul Kow Po Special which has red beans, ice cream, cendul and attap seeds is another dessert which is quite famous here.

For the price , Beside the Jumbo X-tra which cost RM 10, most of the dessert cost RM 3.

Stop by in Kuala Lipis when i am on my way back to KL from Kelantan with my buddy , Ah Chew.
Get to know that there is a nice place to have some roti (bread) .So decide to have a try.

Its is a real old style classical kopitiam.

What special here is the steamed and toasted breads with homemade kaya. The other thing is this kopitiam is still cooking with charcoals!There is another nice food here which i am not trying as its finish when i reach there. The half-boiled eggs.Believe it or not , even "Ah Xian" from Astro came here for interview before.

Canton-i restaurant

The outlet i go for dinner is the 1 in The Garden.Canton-i is a truly Hong Kong cuisine restaurant. From the restaurant design , the service finally to the food , you can see that it is actually hong kong style. It is a non-halal restaurant.

They have quite many choice of food, but i will only share the food that i ate only.

Plain Wonton Noodle (净面）

Its looks quite simple but the taste quite nice.

Hong Kong Signature Prawn Wonton (香港新鲜虾云吞）

This can say to be the best Wonton i had try as at this moment. The meat and the prawn is so tasty and so fresh. The soup is quite normal here. Lets see what is inside the Wonton.

Highly recommend to try this.

How Apperture (f-number) affect DOF

I had running a test on how apperture (f-number) affect DOF while i am doing macro in Bukit Gasing.
It is actually the basic of photography. But still, a nice thing to share with all.
From the theory , stated that the smaller apperture used (big f-number) , the more DOF you can gain. Let see how this work..

Lets look at the details of the bugs (Fungus Weevil) and the blurred background, from f4 to f16, the higher f-number (smaller apperture) used , the more details on the Fungus Weevil we get and background is less blurred, means that the more DOF we gain. So in conclusion , if you want more details in your shot , use a small apperture (e.g landscape, macro, etc..) and if you want blurred background, use big apperture (e.g portraits, etc..),
However , we are been advised not to use f number more than f16 as it will make your shot looks soft.

Food in Pantai Remis , Lumut

My first station in our Lumut Trip is Lunch at Pantai remis.
We have Curry Mee and Laksa for lunch. It was a stall there and believe or not, they have running this stall for more that 60 years already.

Lets have a look on the stall.

I am not sure what's the name of the stall.But the food is quite special here.

What special here is the curry is made from asam fish rather than chicken which we normally eat.Very nice taste food.

The colour of Ang Tao Kar and Jagung Kar is quite similar but different taste.It is something like ABC blended. Nice taste too.

Iced Bobo Cha Cha

Another nice taste food here.

Basically, the overall foods here is quite tasty. Special thanks to our tour guide Mr. Wang Tao as well. Without him , we will not reach here.And just because of him , the boss had keep 4 Curry Meehun for us.If not , we won't be able to taste it also.

Leaning Tower @ Teluk Intan

Its located in Teluk Intan (安顺）, Perak . I visit there when i am on my way to Lumut..

All the way from KL using highway, exit at Bidor Tol and heading towards Teluk Intan.
Another tourism point in Malaysia.

Went to lumut with my department "Badminton Club" member on 4th and 5th July 2009. Special Thanks to Mr Wang Tao , our tour guide for bring us to so many wonderful place.

When we are on our way to Lumut from Teluk Intan , this is what we saw.

What a wonderfull scene here.The scene really really show that this world is really no boundaries.

Heading to Ipoh..??? no no..just a decoration for us.(haha)

Finally , we reach Mulberry. When the time i saw the road heading inside , i was thinking that it was not really a nice place. However , when i first step into Mulberry, i really enjoy the scene there. This teach me that whenever we judge something , don't just judge from it's looks.
